MEMORIES FROM OUR X-MAS EVE AT SCHOOL...

On 20 th December 2013 we gathered at school to celebrate upcoming X-mas. During that time students with their teachers were decorating christmas trees, listening to carols, sharing the wafer and telling the wishes. Everybody was tasting delicious dishes, sweets and having a lovely time. Thank you for coming!!!

Christmas help

In two weeks there will be Christmas Eve. Don't forget about people who need our help. We can help them buying or giving various needed products such as :

- Nappies  

- kids' clothes

- teenagers' clothes 

- toys 

- sanitary resources 

- olive oil

- sponge

- liquid soap

- body lotion

- tea

- air freshener

or if you want to you can give some money for students who are responsible for this campaign and they will buy different things for the poor. Thank you in advance for your help.

Today there were volleyball competitions among 5 classes. The first place belonged to 311 and they played a final match with  the teachers, who UNFORTUNATELY won the competitions !

On 6th December we gonna have clasess competitions. Every class will be playing one match and the winners will fight with our teachers. Enjoy watching volleyball competitions!!!

SAINT ANDREW'S DAY

“ The St Andrew Day –
Young girls hope and pray…”
29/30 November in Poland is the day of mysterious parties with the candles and future telling games, called Andrzejki in Poland  (St.Andrew's Day)– the same as in the very past, but nowadays treated as a fun.

Different ways of forecasting marriage 
What do girls want to know? The answer is very simple. The first thing is to know future husband's name, his profession, appearance, age and
the direction he is supposed to come from. They are also curious whether the marriage will be happy or not...?
Sweet dreams
Girls are praying to St. Andrew  to show their future husband's face. If they see it during the night preceeding St. Andrew's Day it means that he will be her future spouse.

Wax into water
The most famous way of future telling was pouring   liquid wax into water. The shape of the solidified wax  would tell what the future husband would look like, what would be his profession, and so on..

Who is the first to get married?
The girls wanted to know which one is going to find husband as first... The owner of the shoes that reached the door first,would be the lucky one and gets married.

From which direction  will he arrive?
To know from which direction  the boy would arrive, the girls would leave the house for a while to  listen to  dog's barking. From the direction  the dog was barking, the boyfriend was expected to arrive.
 
What is his name?
Before going to bed it is good to put pieces of papers with the men’s name under the pillow.  In the morning the first piece taken out of the pillow means the name of the future husband. There were  a lot of ideas of  how to find out about the marriage. Many of these disappeared or had only local character.

In our school hall we'll gonna play music. Come and share  your suggestions and decide what types of music you wanna hear :D

Another long weekend. It's a holiday on Monday, don't forget about your white & red flags ! .

"A dog is a man's best friend"

Till the end of next week you can bring animal food and blankets with you. There will be a reward for the class which brings the biggest amount of these useful things. Please show your big hearts and prove that you are very helpful especially for those who need our help. You can add your comments but please do it in English.
